We’re honored to introduce Chris Vinca, a lettering artist and designer from Honolulu, Hawai‘i. His work reflects a deep love for Scripture and an eye for beauty that draws people into the wisdom of God.
His first artwork with us is Fearfully & Wonderfully Made, a beautiful calligraphy piece that is inspired by Psalm 139.
Through thoughtful craftsmanship and quiet reflection, Chris creates Scripture Art that invite viewers to slow down and see meaning within form. Each letter, each curve, carries intention — an offering of worship that points back to the truth and goodness of God’s Word.
The Story Behind Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
This artwork was created out of a season of loss and rebuilding. After Hurricane Helene, Chris lost nearly everything he owned. In the silence that followed, he found comfort in the words of Psalm 139.
“You have searched me and known me... I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Those verses became a refuge, reminding him that even when everything else is stripped away, we are still seen, still known, still formed by a loving Creator.
As Chris shared:
“I began this artwork a few months after losing nearly everything I owned in the flooding from Hurricane Helene. In the silence that followed, Psalm 139 became a refuge. The words reminded me that even when I felt unseen and uprooted, God was near—that He searches and knows, surrounds and sustains, and that His hand is present even in the depths.”

Each stroke of the pen became a prayer. What began as a response to loss turned into a meditation on God’s presence — a reminder that even in chaos, we remain fearfully and wonderfully made.
A Reflection of Worship
Chris describes Fearfully and Wonderfully Made as “a quiet reminder that our worth is not something we achieve but something written into our being by the Creator Himself.”
The graceful movement of the letters was designed to reflect both tenderness and strength — the kind of love that sees every part of who we are and still calls us His own.
